Saying Goodbye to Our Beloved Sailboat: A Story of Regret and Excitement

As sailors, we know that the ocean can be both beautiful and unpredictable. Unfortunately for us, the recent hurricane season brought more than just rough seas and strong winds. Our sailboat, which we’ve come to love and cherish over the years, was severely damaged by Hurricane Ian. She will not be able to sail again, FOR US. It’s a feeling of loss and regret. I just don’t have another refit left in me. It was a massive amount of work and not a 5-year chapter I want to repeat again. But as we turn the page, we’re also filled with excitement for the next chapter in our sailboat’s life. See our Video telling the whole story – https://youtu.be/lW8Jj6MQpRQ.

For us, our sailboat was more than just a boat. It was our home on the water. She was a place where we could escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and simply enjoy the beauty of the ocean. It’s where we made memories that will last a lifetime. Where we developed a deep love and appreciation for sailing. So, it’s not easy to say goodbye to our beloved sailboat.

But as we look ahead, we’re also excited for someone who will have the opportunity to carry on the life of our sailboat and make it their sailing dream! We’re excited for them to make their own memories. To experience the thrill of sailing, and be one with the ocean just as we did. We know that our sailboat has many more adventures left in her. We’re honored to be a part of her journey.

We understand that for someone who is looking to buy a sailboat, the process can be overwhelming. There’s so much to consider, from the size and design of the boat to the level of maintenance required. But for those truly passionate about sailing, we know the reward is worth it.
So, as we say goodbye to our sailboat, we want to encourage anyone looking to buy a sailboat to go for it. Embrace the journey, trust the process, and, most of all, have fun. Sailing is an incredible experience, and we know that our sailboat will bring joy and adventure to whoever is lucky enough to be her next owner.

In conclusion, losing our sailboat to Hurricane Ian is a difficult experience, but it’s also a time of excitement and anticipation for what’s to come. For anyone considering buying a sailboat, we encourage you to take the leap and trust the journey. The ocean awaits, and we know that our sailboat will bring the new owners as much joy and adventure as she brought us.
